Shoppers were in for a delightful surprise in Johnsonville yesterday with the Miss Universe NZ finalists paying a visit to the Mall and introducing themselves to locals.

The visit was part of the final few days of build up to the crowning of Miss Universe NZ 2012 at the Amora Hotel on Sunday night. The girls visited with Bella Bloom Florist in the Mall. Bella Bloom is one of the sponsors of the pageant. While in the shop, Miss Manawatu, Miriam Schröter  took the opportunity to practise her hand at creating a bouquet.
The current reigning Miss Universe NZ, Prinyani Puketapu was also present and talked about the wonderful experiences she has had and the places she has visited in the last year. As an ambassador on the world stage, Miss Universe NZ has the opportunity to promote New Zealand internationally and she will take part in the Miss Universe competition along with entrants from around the world.
